A few hundred metres from the route of the ancient Roman road La Cassia - where Popes, artists and pilgrims journeyed - and just outside the centre of Tavarnelle - the Fusi family awaits you and wishes you a holiday steeped in Tuscan tradition and relaxation in their charming holiday apartments.
"La Capannina di Matteo" is the ideal stopping place for trips of fascinating discoveries in a region rich in cultural testimony. The cities of art: Florence, Siena and San Gimignano are easily reached by car or by public transport. 'La Capannina di Matteo' is located near a Romanesque church dating back to the 5th century A.D. whose original structure is almost completely preserved.

The history of this land does not consist only of its artistic patrimony (buildings and medieval villages) but also of its age old woods and ancient systems of cultivation such as the vineyards and olive groves. These are all traces of an important past during which man's constant work has modelled this territory while at the same time maintaining the unaltered essence of this beautifully charming Tuscan landscape.
"La Capannina di Matteo" stands next to a wood and is surrounded by a large well-maintained garden where the 'notes' of lavander marry with the intense delicate scent of the roses. This holiday complex is the result of the renovation of a typical Tuscan farmhouse with its old barn.

There are six apartments available to you. Four are part of the renovated barn and 2, together with the reception, occupy a part of the original restored farmhouse main building.
Located only a few kilometres from the town centre, this farmhouse complex - a typical example of Chianti rural architecture - has only recently been renovated in a style reflecting its original state and its owners taste. While offering all the comforts of the modern age its owners have preserved those typical elements of traditional Tuscan rural home interiors such as, for example, wooden beamed ceilings and terra cotta floors.
